Samarium Cobalt (yoki SmCo) magnitlari samarium va kobalt qotishmasidan tayyorlangan kuchli doimiy magnitlardir. Ular yuqori magnit quvvati, ajoyib haroratga chidamliligi va oksidlanishdan himoyalanmagan ishonchli ishlashi bilan mashhur. Natijada, ular Neodim magnitlariga qaraganda ma'lum ilovalar uchun ko'proq mos keladi.
Ular odatda yuqori samarali motorlarda, magnit muftalarda va magnit separatorlarda qo'llaniladi. Bu mo'rt magnitlar bo'lib, yorilish va parchalanishga moyil. Samarium magnitlari neodimiy ishlamaydigan yuqori haroratli ilovalar uchun ishlatilishi mumkin.
Samarium kobalt disk magnitlari issiqlik va korroziyaga yuqori qarshilik ko'rsatadigan kuchli noyob tuproq magnitlaridir. Samarium kobalt magniti 300 daraja yoki 662 daraja F gacha bo'lgan haroratlarda ishlashi mumkin. Ularning korroziyaga chidamliligi ularni juda korroziv muhitda, masalan, magnitlar sho'r suvga ta'sir qiladigan qayiqlarda foydalanish uchun ajoyib tanlov qiladi. Samarium kobalt magnitlari keramika va AlNiCo magnitlariga nisbatan yuqori magnit kuchga ega va odatda elektronika, kompyuterlar va kalitlar kabi yuqori texnologiyali ilovalarda qo'llaniladi. Ular, shuningdek, ko'pincha avtomobil "kaput ostida" ilovalarda, tijorat va harbiy samolyotlarda va boshqa ko'plab intensiv ilovalarda qo'llaniladi.
